Chilled & frozen transport · Auckland

Cold freight around Auckland. Same drivers, every run.

TRANS STAR has spent 20+ years in logistics and now specialises in cold chain. Two trucks, a crew of four, chilled and frozen in the same load, anywhere in the Auckland region.

New customer? Your first delivery is free. One per business.

01 · The problem

A warm pallet costs more than the freight bill.

Cold freight has no room for a bad day. One delivery outside its range and the product's rejected, your customer's unhappy, and you're the one explaining. It's rarely the truck. It's a driver who doesn't know the site, a check nobody did, or a delay nobody mentioned.

Sound familiar?

Common worries in cold freight, written as anonymous thoughts.

  • The load arrived warm and nobody can say why.
  • I found out it was late from my own customer.
  • Another missed delivery slot.
  • The temperature records turn up a week later, if at all.
  • Rejected at the DC for temperature. Again.
  • The paperwork takes longer than the run.
  • Who signed for it? Nobody knows.
  • Every driver unloads it differently.
  • I can't take that contract without another truck.
02 · Why runs go wrong

Most runs don't go wrong on the road. They go wrong at the handover.

  1. Why runs go wrong

A different driver every week, and every one of them learns your dock from scratch.

    What we do

The same faces at your dock.

We're a crew of four. Whoever turns up has been to your site before, knows where to back in, and knows who signs.

  2. Why runs go wrong

Product goes out warm or a door's left open, and nobody can say where the temperature went.

    What we do

    Temperatures checked and written down.

We check the unit's set point and the product temperature at every pick-up and drop, and write them down. If you need proof, we send a photo of the reading.

  3. Why runs go wrong

You find out a delivery's late when your customer rings to complain.

    What we do

You hear it from us first.

If a run is going to miss its window, we tell you before it does, with a new ETA. You're never the last to know.

  4. Why runs go wrong

The paperwork turns up days later, if it turns up at all.

    What we do

Proof when you ask for it.

Signed dockets and temperature photos sent the same day.

03 · The record

Twenty years of turning up.

Over a decade delivering dry goods for restaurant brands, then cold chain. Today we contract to a major NZ cold chain operator.

05 · How we work

Three steps. Your first delivery is free.

We're a small business. Giving away a delivery isn't cheap for us. We do it because once you've seen one run done properly, you won't want to go back.

  1. 01Free

    A quick call

Tell us what you ship, where it's going, how often, and whether it's chilled, frozen or both. We'll tell you straight if we're the right fit. Got an urgent load? Ask, and we'll see if it can be your first.

  2. 02Free

    Your first delivery

We do one real delivery at no charge, one per new business. You see how we load, check temperatures and keep you posted. If it needs a return trip or a second load, that part is billed.

  3. 03Ongoing

    Regular runs

If you're happy, we set up regular runs on rates agreed up front. We just need at least 48 hours' notice before each one. Prices excl. GST.

You don't pay until here.

06 · Who you're dealing with

You'll deal with the person who drives.

Photo · owner-portraitEmilian beside the truck, waist up, natural light, looking at the camera. Plain background, no glare on the cab.

TRANS STAR is Emilian's business. It started out delivering dry goods for restaurant brands, did that for over a decade, and now specialises in cold chain. Emilian still drives most days, so the person you ring is often the person at your dock.
